Zwart/wit katje    Black and White Kitty

En hier is weer een update van de Zwart witte kat voor het Borduurbloempje. Echt een ideaal stuk om te maken. Hij wordt mooi en het is lekker simpel met maar één kleur.

It's an ideal piece to make. Easy and simple with one color and it's turning out beautifully.

Finish van een model borduurwerk / Finish of a model stitchwork 

Dit model heb ik voor het Borduurbloempje uit Belgie gemaakt. Ik heb er weinig van laten zien, dus hier zijn alsnog alle foto's ervan op een rijtje. 

ENGLISH; This model I stitched for a shop called Het Borduurbloempje, located in Belgium. I didn't show much of this work, so here are all the pics of it.  

Hier zitten kruissteekjes, sticksteken en franse knoopjes in.  Al de kruisjes rondom het werk zijn steeds 4 stiksteekjes en die zijn per kruisje aan en afgehecht, want de stof is heel erg open en dan zou je het garen door de stof heen zien lopen. 

ENGLISH: 
There are crossstitches, backstitches and French knots here. All the crossstitches around the work are 4 backstitches and they are all stitched seperately. I couldn't travel with the thread from crossstitch to crossstitch, because the fabric is very open and you would see the thread shining through. 

Twee nieuwe starts / Two new starts

Ik ben twee nieuwe projecten gestart. Het gaat nu wel ERG uit de hand lopen hoor. Van de week geteld, en met alles (borduurwerken, quilt, breien etc, heb ik nu 25 wips 😲😲😲
Maar ik kon het niet laten. 
Deze eerste is een HAED genaamd Sacred Hour

I have started two new projects. This is all getting out of control now. Last week I counted my wips and, including all works like stitchworks, quilt, knitting etc, I've got 25 now.😲😲😲
But I just couldn't ignore this.
This first new start is called Sacred Hour. 

Hij wordt zo rond de 90 centimeter hoog en 72 centimeter breed. Ik ga hiermee met verschillende aantallen draadjes werken. 
Ik heb het patroon ook zonder achtergrond gekocht en nu ga ik eerst de vrouw en engel met twee draadjes borduren. Dan gaat de vrouw nog een keer overgeborduurd worden met één draadje extra. Dus die krijgt er uiteindelijk 3.
Ik moet dit zo doen, want op het patroon is niet de grens te herkennen tussen de man en de vrouw. Dus aanpassen doe ik dan als ze beiden klaar zijn. 
Dan gaat als laatste de achtergrond geborduurd worden. Met maar één draadje. En zo hoop ik een soort van 3-d effect te creeëren. Geen idee of het echt gaat lukken. Ik zie het wel  
Eén draadje op 16 count aida zal door gaan schijnen, maar dat is in dit geval de bedoeling. Ik heb Rustico aida en ik denk dat de beige kleur van de aida het werk positief zal beïnvloeden.

ENGLISH: 

This work will be somewhere around 35,5" high and 28,5"wide. I'm going to work this with different numbers of threads. 

I've also bought the chart without background, so for now I'll first stitch the womand and angel with 2 strands.

After that I will restitch the woman with a third thread.

I have to do it this way, because I can't see on the chart where the woman stops and the angel starts.  So I will ajust it when they are both done.

And at last the background will be done with one strand.In this way I'm trying to create some sort of 3-d effect.
I have no idea if it's going to work. I'll just have to wait and see. 

One strand on 16 count is defenitely going to shine through, but in this case I want that. 

I'm using Rustico Aida (or also called Oatmeal) and I think that the beige color of the fabric will have a positive effect on the work.

En mijn tweede nieuwe start is een geheim object. Dat zeg ik niet wat het wordt. Die zien jullie gewoon wel groeien. 

Het is even lekker simpel. Maar vier kleuren en no nonsens. 

Deze stof lag me al een tijd in de weg en wist niet wat ik ermee moest. 

Dus maar wat proberen he. 

ENGLISH: 

And my second new start is a secret object. I'm not going to tell what it is. You will see it grow in time. 

It's something simple. Four colors and no nonsense. 

I had this fabric for a while now and didn't know what to do with it. 

So I'll just have to try something.

Ik ben weinig op mijn blog de laatste tijd. Ik krijg het idee dat blogs niet meer zo bezocht worden en ik krijg meer reacties op facebook. Daar is ook meer contact met medepriksters. 

Dus ik weet eigenlijk niet of het heel veel zin heeft om mijn blog aan te houden. 

Zijn jullie nog veel met je blog bezig? 

ENGLISH: 

I'm not much on my blog lately. I get the idea that blogs aren't visited that much anymore and on facebook I get much more reactions. I have more contact with them there. 

So I don't know if it has any use to maintain my blog. 

What about all of you? Are you still working on your blogs much?
