TV kast "Buster" / TV cabinet "Buster"

Dit is mijn tweede verfproject, mijn zojuist tweedehands aangekochte tv kast "Buster"

This is my second paintingproject, my just secondhand bought tv cabinet "Buster"

Ja, mijn projecten krijgen allemaal een naampje mee! Deed ik vroeger met de kanariepieten, die ik gekweekt heb ook. Vond ik toen al leuk om te doen en doe ik dus ook bij mijn kasten.
Krijg ik er tenminste een band mee....

Leuk!!! Een band met mijn tv kast haahahaha

Deze heb ik bij de kringloopwinkel gekocht en is nogal groot: 138 breed x 54 diep x 67 hoog.
Dit is de eerste kast die ik tegenkom waar mijn versterker in past, dus deze blijft echt van mij.

Ik ben begonnen met schuren zoals je ziet.

Yes, all my projects will get a name. I used to do that when I was breeding canaries. Liked to do it then and I like to do that now.
So I can bond with them...

Nice.....Having a bond with my tv cabinet haahaha.
I bought this cabinet at the recyclestore. It's a big one: 55" wide x 22"deep x 27"high.
This is the first cabinet I see that can fit my stereo, so I am definitly going to keep this one.

I have started sanding as you can see.

Het eerste deel, alle smalle randjes en onbereikbare plaatsen met  de hand. De grote vlakke stukken met mijn nieuwe "huisdier" de schuurmachine...

ENGLISH:
The first part, all the small edges and corners are sanded by hand. De big flat parts are done with my new "pet" the sandingmachine.

Ik en electrisch gereedschap..... Dat zijn twee hele verschillende werelden... Maar goed, toch maar eens proberen, want dat gaat toch wel stukken sneller dan alles met de hand doen.

ENGLISH: Me and electric tools... These are two completely different worlds... Ah well, I should give it a try, because it goes a lot faster then doing everything by hand.

Als je nu naar het huidige modebeeld in meubels kijkt....

Dan hoef ik deze kast zoals hij nu is alleen nog maar te vernissen en dan is hij klaar haha..

ENGLISH: If you look at the fashion in furniture nowadays....

All I have to do is varnish the cabinet and it's done haha...

De bovenkant wil nog niet zo goed gaan. De laag is veel harder dan de rest van de kast.

Goede tip voor de volgende keer....

Eerst gaan schrappen met een stuk glas... Dat scheelt een boel schuurpapier..

ENGLISH:

The topside is not going so well at this point. The toplayer is harder then the rest of the cabinet..

Good tip voor next time...

I will first scratch some of the layers of with a piece of glass.... 

That will save me a lot of sandingpaper.
