Lente zit in de lucht met Springtime / Spring is in the air with springtime.

Zoals hij was de vorige keer / Like it was last time.

Het was de laatste weken weer aangenaam werken aan Springtime. Hij is zo lekker makkelijk. Het is een 30 count stof en dan met twee draadjes over twee.  Gewoon lekker werken zonder getuur..
Ik dacht dat ik eigenlijk niet zo heel veel gedaan had. Zo komt het niet over. Maar als ik naar de vlek in het midden kijk, die je op de eerste foto nog maar net ziet, dan valt het best mee. Dat is ook een nadeel van mijn updates... Die gaan niet over een klein stukje, maar over de hele breedte van het werk.

It has been a pleasure to work on Springtime the last several weeks. This one is so easy. It is a 30 count cloth and I am working with two threads over two. Just nice and easy without having to stare to much...
I actually thought I didn't do so much.. It doesn't appear like that. But when I look at the spot in the middle, which is just starting on the first picture, then I think I did quite a bit.
That is a bit of a disadvantage of my updates.. They are not shown on a little piece, but on the complete width of my work.

Dit werk zal hoogstwaarschijnlijk wel het eerste werk zijn waarin ik zelf handmatig wat ga veranderen.. Er zijn twee stukken die me niet zinnen. Hij heeft een hele rare teen. Er zit zo'n raar plukkie aan..... Zal hoogstwaarschijnlijk wel te maken hebben met het feit dat hij zijn tenen in een bepaalde houding heeft.... Maar ik vind het raar overkomen en ben er niet weg van.. Maar daar ga ik pas iets aan doen als hij helemaal klaar is.. Dan kan ik hem helemaal goed zien en alsnog een beslissing nemen.
En ik vind die witte vlek te wit.. Als ik het werk op afstand zie dan denk ik iedere keer dat het een stuk is dat ik niet geborduurd heb... Zal wel een wit steentje af moeten beelden, maar ik vind het niet mooi.

This work will probably be the first work in which I will make some changes my own.
There are two parts that I don't like. He has a very weird toe. There is a very strange part, just hanging there. This will probably have something to do with the fact that he is holding his toes in a certain way... But I find it strange and I don't like it.. But I will do something about it at the moment it is finished.. Then I can see the complete work and make a decision then.
And I find that white spot to white.. Everytime I see this frome a distance I see a part of which I think I didn't stitch... It must be a little white stone or something, but I don't like it.

Verder heb ik een GEWELDIG compliment gehad over mijn werk..
En dat is gebeurt door het feit dat ik een borduurwerk verkocht heb.. Een ingelijst borduurwerk en hij moet verzonden worden naar Australië.....
Nou... Is dat geen geweldig compliment?? Dat iemand toch wel een behoorlijk bedrag er voor over heeft om dat daarheen te laten verzenden? Is toch een teken dat ik ie mooi is toch? Ik ben er trots op en begin vandaag aan de inpakklus... Want hij moet wel als een huis in zijn doos zitten natuurlijk. Het zou erg zijn als hij beschadigde onderweg.
Hij is 63 x 55 cm en het is een werk van Eva Rosenstand.
Deze gezellige figuurtjes gaan mijn huis verlaten en iemand anders gezelschap geven:

I also got a HUGE compliment on my work this week..
And that happened through a work that I sold..
It's a framed work and it has to be shipped to Australië...
Now isn't that a big compliment?? That someone is willing to pay a substantial amount of money to have it shipped overthere? It's a sign that it's a beautiful work isn't it?
I am very proud about it and will start the packingjob today..
It must be packed solid as a rock.. It would be a shame if it was damaged on the way.
The size is 25" x 22" and it's a work by Eva Rosenstand. 
These cosy little creatures are leaving my house to give some company to someone else.~

Ik heb er nog een aantal te koop. Ik wil graag een andere stijl gaan creeëren, daarom mogen ze weg.. 
Ik heb er heel veel plezier aan beleeft en nu mogen ze iemand anders gaan verblijden.
Ik heb er ook een aantal te koop die ik niet heb ingelijst.

En dit is niet om verkooppraatjes aan te smeren, maar misschien kun je er zelf ook wel ideeën mee opdoen om zoiets te gaan doen en heb je wat ideeën voor prijzen etc... Maar iets verkopen is uiteraard gewoon hartstikke leuk.
Reken niet op een overvloed van verkoop, maar dit is wel een site waar de liefhebbers te vinden zijn die handwerk wèl waarderen en daar wat voor over hebben.

Allereerst even het volgende....
Buster is nu klaar en staat te pronken in de woonkamer.

First things first....
Buster is now ready and is showing off in the living room.

Niet op de kleur gordijnen letten die erachter hangen.... Dit staat allemaal in de planning om te veranderen.. Kleurt totaal niet bij de kast haha.

ENGLISH:

Don't mind the color of the curtains behind it...

It is al planned to be changed... They do not fit the color of the cabinet haha.

De tweede kleur, de donkere is nu ook gepatineerd met de zelfde kleur patina als het lichte gedeelte.
Hier heb ik alleen met een doek wat getamponeerd. Gewoon een beetje vegen en vlekken gemaakt... Nu is het oude effect compleet.

ENGLISH:
The second color, the darker one is now also rubbed in with patina, with the same color as the light part.
Here I just made some stains and strokes with a piece of cloth.  Now the old effect is complete.

Bovenkant / On top

Dit is mijn derde verfproject die ik heb afgemaakt en ik ben er trots op.
ENGLISH:
This is my third paintingproject that I finished and I am proud of it.

Nu gaat dus nog het volgende gebeuren:
Mijn stereo moet dus nog overgezet worden van de ene kast naar de andere. Maar aangezien ik dat niet zelf kan en er een gigántische berg draden achter zitten, moet ik het laten doen.  En laten doen kost geld... Dus maar weer even doorsparen...
 Moet van aan het eind van deze maand ook nog de auto laten keuren, dus daar wil ik eerst nog rekening mee houden.
Dat hele verkassen zal dus pas ergens in Juni zijn (hoop ik)... Ligt er aan wat Peanut gaat doen (mijn auto)..

ENGLISH:

Now the following is going to happen:
My stereo needs to be moved from one closet to another. But I can't do it myself. There are SO many connections at the back. So I have to hire someone to do it... And hiring someone costs money, so I'll just have to save a bit more first....
At the end of the month I have my yearly check up with my car, so I must think about that first.
So moving my stereo will probably be somewhere in June (I hope).. That depends on how Peanut behaves (my car)

Maar................. Nu komt de stereo dus uit deze kast.... En ik vind het een onding. Mijn man wilde hem graag hebben, maar ik vind het een overgrote doodskist!!!
Hij neemt een boel ruimte in en ook een boel licht weg, want hij neemt de halve schuifpui in beslag.
Dus volgt nu de multiple choice vraag:
Wat doe ik er mee???
A..  Ik steek hem in de fik...
B..  Ik schuif hem door een versnipperaar.
C..  Ik schiet 'm de ruimte in
D..  Ik ga hem zoals ie is te koop zetten
E..  Ik verf hem eerst in de kleur 9010 en zet 'm           dan te koop...
F..  Ik sla hem op en gebruik 'm daadwerkelijk als       doodskist..... 
      Scheelt me weer in de verzekering!!!

Waaaaah......
Kom maar op met jullie keuze heheheh..

Dit is maar een grapje uiteraard. Maar weg gaat ie wel. Weet alleen niet of ik hem zo zal verkopen, of eerst nog mijn verfpret eraan zal beleven.
Zal wel lastig worden want hij moet dan in de woonkamer geverfd worden. 
Hij is uit één stuk en kan niet verkast worden naar mijn studiootje.

ENGLISH:
BUT..........My stereo comes from this closet....
I find it a horrible thing..
 My husband really wanted this, but I find it a huge coffin!!!
He's taking a lot of space, and lots of light from my room, because he's taking over half of the sliding door.
So now here is a multiple choice question:

What should I do with it???
A..  I set it on fire..
B..  I shove it through a shredder..
C..  I shoot it into space..
D..  I will put it up for sale like he is..
E..   I'll paint it in the color 9010 first and then sell         it..
F..  I put it in a storage and really use it as a coffin.
      that's going to save me money in my
      insurance!!!

Waaaaah!!!  Can't wait to hear your choice heheheh.

I am just kidding ofcourse. But I am going to sell it. I just don't know if I will sell it with his own color, or allow my self to have a little painting fun with it.
It would be tricky, because I would have to do that in my livingroom.
It's made out of one piece and can not be moved to my studio.

Maar aangezien Buster dus nu klaar is, jeuken mijn handen alweer om een verfprojectje er tegenaan te gooien.
Dus bij deze stel ik jullie voor:..... Dit is Beppie!
Een kastje wat ik van mijn schoonzus heb gekregen om mee aan de slag te gaan. Dit gaat een whitewash project worden.
Ik ga haar niet houden, maar ik doe dit echt voor de lol, dus als Beppie klaar is ga ik ze verkopen.

ENGLISH: 
But because Buster is finished, my hands are itching to start a new painting project.
So I am introducing to you.... Beppy! A cabinet that I was given by my sister-in-law to start with.
She's going to be a whitewash project.
I am not going to keep her, I am really doing it for fun, so as soon as she's ready she will be put up for sale.

       Zo, ik ben weer even uitgeklept.. 
Ik ga vanavond weer lekker even verder met mijn Springtime borduurwerk.

Voetje op de vloer / Foot on the ground

Weer even lekker bezig geweest met The Passing van HAED.
De mevrouw uit dit werk begint haar voet op de grond te krijgen.

Verder nog wat Postcrossing kaarten gekregen van Canada, Rusland en Amerika.
Het waren deze keer een natuurkaart uit Stephen King land, een muziekkaart, een komische kaart en een................. Nou ja, een kaart haha. Nou ja, het was aardig bedoelt. En het blijft gewoon leuk.

ENGLISH:
I received some Postcrossing cards from Canada, Russia and America.
This time they were cards from Stephen King country, a music card, a humor card and a............... Well, it's a card haha. Ah well, it was meant well.. It's such fun to do.
